In August 2011, the first workshop Algebra Across the Borders was organized with the goal to bring together researchers in algebra, computer science and applied mathematics.

The workshop took place in New York, at the Department of Mathematical Sciences of Yeshiva University:

We announce the second installment of this workshop in Szeged, Hungary, June 17-20, prior to algebraic conference:

(1) implicational systems (Horn Boolean functions, directed hypergraphs, closure operators) 

(2) algebras with commuting functions (modes) and aggregation theory

(3) constraint satisfaction problems

(5) lattice theory in applied mathematics
