Algorithms and their complexity

A practice session is included in the course. The lectures and the practice sessions are credited together. The pactice sessions will be evaluated separately. The rules for the practice sessions will be clarified by the insructor of the sessions. For both parts 50-50 points are available.

I will test the understanding of the lectures in an oral exam. An exact list of topics will be listed as approaching the exam period of the semester.

The grades - based on the total score - are formed as follows:

• 1/F: unsatisfactory performance in practice, or < ₌50 total points
• 2/D: completed practice session and 50 < total points < ₌ 60
• 3/C: completed practice session and 60 < total points < ₌ 70
• 4/B: completed practice session and 70 < total points < ₌ 85
• 5/A: completed practice session and 85 < total points

The lack of confident knowledge and continuous monitoring of the material can cause serious problems in the exam. Listening to the lecture only 1.5 hours per week is usually not enough. Depending on the student's level of preparation work at home is required that could be several hours of work per week.
