| Abstract. We report on some problems and results related to permutation patterns. In particular, we consider permutation groups that can be described in terms of permutation patterns (e.g., by avoidance of a prescribed set of permutations). We also propose some refinements to the work by Atkinson and Beals on permutation classes in which all levels are groups. This talk is based on joint work with Reinhard Pöschel. |
