| Prof. Marian Muresan Babes-Bolyai Tudományegyetem, Kolozsvár The main goal of this talk is to share certain new results on calculus of variations and optimal control, both from theoretic side and numerical side. As an illustrative example the classical brachistochrone problem is considered. The numerical approaches are realized by the capabilities of Mathematica. |
