The aim of this school is to introduce the theoretical foundations of the subject, to present  recent developments and possible research problems for interested MSc, PhD students and young researchers, mainly in applied mathematics and physics.

A new laser research center will be built in Szeged. The ELI – Extreme Light Infrastructure – will be one of the large research facilities of the European Union. See: http://www.eli-hu.hu/
The topics of the autumn school are not directly related to the ELI project. However, in the ELI there will be a great demand for applied mathematicians as well.

Funding will cover local expenses of all participants (travel expenses are subject to availability).

Minicourses will be given by

  • Uwe Bandelow (Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics, Berlin)
  • Thomas Erneux (Universite Libre de Bruxelles)
  • Serhiy Yanchuk (Humboldt University, Berlin)
  • Matthias Wolfrum (Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics, Berlin)
