Invited professor by host Prof. P. Kölzow at the Math. Institute of University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, paid by the Math. Dept. of University of Erlangen. Become an associate editor of the Acta Sci. Math. (Szeged).

Visiting professor at host Prof. S. Helgason at the Dept. of Math. of MIT in Cambridge, USA, with scholarship awarded by the Soros Foundation New York and supported by the MIT. Awarded a three years support from the National Scientific Research Foundation in Hungary.
1991
Ph.D. (``Candidate of Science'' in Hungary) in mathematics conferred from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Obtained permanent position as lecturer at the Bolyai Institute of then József Attila University, now University of Szeged. Become a charter member of the editorial stuff of the Polygon, a mathematical journal for teachers in Hungary.
1990
Awarded Grünwald Géza memorial prize in mathematics from the Bolyai János Mathematical Society. Completed Ph.D. thesis: `The Radon transform'.
1987--90
Ph.D. (``Candidate of Science'' in Hungary) studies and research at Bolyai Institute of University of Szeged (József Attila University, Szeged at that time), under the supervision of Prof. Z. I. Szabó, the at MPI, Bonn, with scholarship awarded by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Subjects of studies included differential geometry, integral geometry, and geometry. Lectured and lead practice classes on differential, projective and elementary geometry to 2nd, 3rd and 4th year mathematics students. Passed Ph.D. examinations in differential geometry and geometry.
1986--87
Research on Radon transform and teaching at Bolyai Institute of József Attila University, Szeged. Studied dynamical systems for a month at I.C.T.P. with scholarship awarded by I.C.T.P., Italy. Won the top prize of the Students' National Scientific Conference held by the Bolyai János Mathematical Society of Hungary with the paper `New Radon inversion formulas'.
1986
Graduated with first class honour from the Bolyai Institute of University of Szeged (József Attila University, Szeged at that time), Hungary.

Won several awards of Ministry of Education for undergraduate studies. Diploma thesis in Radon transform theory under the supervision of Prof. Z. I. Szabó, Bolyai Institute, Szeged.

Compulsory military service. (A lost year...)
1976--80
High school student at the special mathematics faculty of Ságvári High School of the University of Szeged. Successful participant of several competitions in physics and mathematics. (This and this are the proofs that are remembered by the web; further, these show how nice is to be young... :-))
