Apply to Szeged
The University of Szeged offers full-time doctoral studies in Mathematics in a 2+2 year program.
Applications for the research topics announced by the Doctoral School of Mathematics can be submitted until 15 May (or, in the case of a reserve admission procedure, until 20 August).
Spring semester 2024
The University of Szeged created the system of University Doctoral Excellence Scholarships in 2023. For the Spring semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, the Council of the Doctoral School of Mathematics awarded the following grants.
Based on his/her professional excellence, Szeged University Foundation Talent Doctoral Scholarship (HUF 90,000 per month) is awarded to Alexandra Bakó-Szabó (supervisor Prof. Ferenc Fodor).
The SZTE Excellence Doctoral Scholarship+ (HUF 90,000 per month) goes to Korir Evans Kiptoo (supervisor Dr. Zsolt Vizi), and three SZTE Doctoral Scholarship+ (HUF 60,000 per month) go to Tamás Ágoston (supervisor Dr. Miklós Dormán and Dr. Miklós Maróti), Pham Le Bach Ngoc (supervisor Prof. Tibor Krisztin) and Kristóf Varga (supervisor Dr. Tamás Waldhauser).

The public defense of the Ph.D. thesis

is announced for 26th (Friday) April 2024, 1:00 pm. Supervisor: Dr. Gergely Röst.
UPDATE: The defense was successful, the award of the PhD degree to Bornali Das was recommended by the Committee. Congratulations!

is announced for February 13, 2024, 2:00 pm (CET). Supervisor: Dr. Attila Dénes.
