Abstract of the lecture:
Knot Floer homology assigns isotopy and concordance invariants to knots. The construction can be sharpened by considering first the double branched cover of $S^3$ along the knot and then apply tools of Heegaard Floer homology to the resulting space.
In the lecture I explain the most pressing questions and results, and those methods which we hope to use in answering those questions.
