Math formulas on web

I installed MathJax in my pages. From now on I can use the commands of TeX to display mathematical formulas on the web.

A MathJax egy Javascript szoftver, ami a TeX (illetve annak bővítménye, a LaTeX parancsait értelmezi és fordítja le a html nyelvére.

Here are some complex formulas to show what can be done with MathJax:

For my son's sake, first the general solution of the equation $ax^2+bx+c=0$ of degree $2$ follows: $$ x_{1,2}=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}\ . $$

The Cauchy-Schwarz Inequality looks like this: \[ \bigg| \sum_{k=1}^n a_k b_k \bigg| \leq \sqrt{\sum_{k=1}^n a_k^2} \sqrt{ \sum_{k=1}^n b_k^2}\ . \]

Finally an equation for $J_\alpha$ : $$ J_\alpha(x) = \sum_{m=0}^\infty \frac{(-1)^m}{m! \, \Gamma(m + \alpha + 1)}{\left({\frac{x}{2}}\right)}^{2 m + \alpha} \ . $$

A web page to get into writing TeX: TeX minitanfolyam. A good book to get TeX in work: TeX for the Impatient.
