Global stability of a multi-group SIR epidemic model with age structure

Absztrakt:
In this talk, we are concerned with a multi-group SIR epidemic model with age structure. We obtain the basic reproduction number Ro as the spectral radius of the next generation matrix and show that if Ro < 1, then the disease-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable and if Ro > 1, then the endemic equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable under some additional assumptions. In the proof, we use the well-known graph theoretic approach developed by Guo et al. (2006) together with an approach of max function.
