Where to eat?


We have prepared a short list about possible places which are within walking distance from the Bolyai building (at most 6-8 mins).


Lunch options


Daily lunch menu:

-Katedrális étterem és kávézó (right under Cathedral on Dóm square). Good quality, smaller portions. Also offers á la carte options. $$$

-Béke Tanszék. Non official university canteen, big variety, large portions. $$ Only on Friday!

-Coop Étterem. Cheap canteen. $


Other places:

-Wok'n'go. Chinese (same as everywhere), big portions. $$

-The Mayo. Salads, rolls, wraps and pastas. Healthy options, smaller portions. Good choice for vegetarians. $$-$$$

-Soup and pasta. Ideal for a light lunch. $-$$

-Vendéglő a régi hídhoz. Classical restaurant. Takes time, but good. $$$+

-City Pan - Fish&Chips restaurant (right next to the Wok'n'go). Fish and chips and soup of the day. Small place, seats only 4-5 people. $$-$$$


Burger and pizza:

-Baan's kitchen. Hamburger place, sometimes service is slow (it can take up to 20 minutes). $$

-Don Quijote. Pizza place with a small salad bar. Can be crowded around noon. $$

-Burger King or McDonald's $$


Cafés and cake shops are located on Kárász street and Klauzál square.

There are many other restaurants in the downtown area, essentially all of them are good choices.
