Information for Authors

By submitting a paper, the author(s) certify that the manuscript has not been submitted to and it is not under consideration for publication at another journal, conference proceedings, or similar publication.

Authors are requested to submit manuscripts in duplicate written on one side of each sheet and with wide margins. They should retain a complete copy to be used by proofreading. Manuscripts must be in their final form, each duly completed by tables, figures and references, and by an abstract not longer than 20 typewritten lines. This abstract will appear in Russian (for papers in English, French, and German) or in English (for papers in Russian). The whole material of a paper should not exceed 40 typewritten pages. Affiliations of the author(s) (i.e., institute or university, city, country) should be indicated at the end of the paper, after ``References''.

Words or sentences to be set in italics should be marked by single underlining. Letters in formulae are normally printed in italics, so they should not be underlined in the manuscript. Such abbreviations as Re, Im, max, sup, lim, sin, log, exp, etc. are printed by Roman letters (``antiqua''). The words ``Theorem'', ``Lemma'', ``Corollary'', ``Proof'', ``Remark'', etc.\ will be printed in spaced letters.

Numbers of formulae should be put at the left-hand extremity of the line, in parentheses. Every sentence, even if its final member is a formula, must be ended with period (``.'').

Footnotes in text should be avoided if it is possible. If they must be used, identify them by superscript numbers consecutively and type them together on a separate sheet, double spaced.

As far as possible, tables and figures should also be avoided. Tables should be typed in the desired format and numbered consecutively by Roman numerals. All illustrations are to be considered as figures. Figures must be submitted on separate sheets suitable for reproduction. They should be drawn in Indian ink in clear uniform lines, the whole about twice the size of the finished illustration. Use a professional lettering set so that the letters and numbers are large enough and ``open'' enough to take a reduction of 50\% without filling in with ink.

References to the literature should be listed at the end of the manuscript, possibly in alphabetical order. Use of unpublished results in the proofs should be avoided. For the journal abbreviations, please follow the latest Mathematical Reviews annual index. References should be styled and punctuated according to the following examples:

[1] {\sc G. Alexits}, Convergence problems of orthogonal series, Pergamon Press (New York--Oxford--Paris, 1961).
[2] {\sc E. G\"orlich, R. J. Nessel and W. Trebels}, Bernstein-type inequalities for families of multiplier operators in Banach spaces with Ces{\accent"12 a}ro decomposition. II Applications, Acta Sci. Math. (Szeged), 36(1974), 39--48.

Proofs will be sent to the author(s) with a reprint order form. Pleaset correct typographical errors only, by marking the changes on the proof copies, and return them promptly by air mail. No corrections will be accepted electronically.

25 reprints will be provided free of charge.

After the paper has been accepted for publication, the \TeX\ file of the final version, if any, should be sent via e-mail to analmath@math.u-szeged.hu, or on diskette to the Hungarian Section of Editorial Board.
