The continuity,
boundedness and convergence to zero of the solutions of the differential
equation $$ (a(t)x')'+h(t,x,x')+q(t)f(x)=e(t,x,x') $$ are discussed,
where $a(t)>0$, $q(t)>0$, and $xf(x)>0$ for $x\ne 0$. The proofs
are based upon Lyapunov's second method.}
